Maintaining good air Quality is key to the public
health and economic vitality of San Francisco. San Francisco should target to provide
its residents and visitors with clean air.
Indoors and outdoors have affect to human health.
It is very important to maintain keeping air clean. Quality of outdoors air
affects to indoors air. In addition, Americans spend 90% of their lives
indoors.
San Francisco is surrounding by three sides of
ocean, so it has a good air quality
Solid Waste
In 1989 the state council passed the Integrated
Waste Management Act that change 50% of California counties what they send to
landfill by the year 2000. The City started recycling program and my businesses
began establishing recycling programs in the workplace.
San Francisco has an amazingly high rate to recycle.
The city has 7 ½ pounds of waste and recyclables per person per day. San
Francisco’s people, businesses and consumers must commit to recycle.
